As an artist, I am more of a short term project person than someone who can (and will) invest a long time developing and then producing their creative expression.  I’m not sure whether that has to do with raising small children (now grown) or always having a day job.  Anyway, since time seems to be at a premium for me, a series of small drawings along a theme give me a sense of accomplishment and keep my skills up (to some degree).

Several (as in many) years ago I took a course in colored pencil at SCAD and have been hooked on Prismacolors ever sense.  I love the small amount of effort it takes to blend and the variety of texture you can achieve with the most basic of tools:  the pencil. (Albeit a colored pencil.)

I call these little drawings of mine trifles.  They give me pleasure and so I am sharing them with you. One at a time.
