A combination of woo woo + life and things I know for sure + the occasional cute graphic.
“Gently down the stream” is a line from that little childhood ditty we all learned “Row, Row, Row Your Boat”. Have you ever paid attention to the lyrics? Well, instead of going against the current, I’ve learned that moving “gently down the stream” is so much more peaceful. You just have to surrender and let go – otherwise life becomes a struggle. And nobody likes a struggle.
Encourage, enlighten and enliven. That’s the focus here.
…me, Pamela (or, less formally, Pam)
Artist and hunter/gatherer of joyful life moments. My life has been as eclectic as my interests in art – there is not one art form or craft that I haven’t explored on some level. The only one I have totally rejected is knitting. Don’t ask me why because I couldn’t tell you. All the others – painting, graphic design, crocheting, book binding, etc. - I am pretty much smitten with.
And, yes, I consider crafting an art form. You can call it crocheting if you like, I call it fiber arts.
The “woo woo” refers to my spiritual beliefs – and it’s all very open and loving. Take what you will from what I have learned along the way or not. My mission is to enlighten and encourage.
Oh. The education – yes. I have a degree in Fine Art from Mercer University (go Tigers! No, wait – that’s not right. What was our mascot?) Anyway, I also have a degree in the fine art of Nursing. I value my educational background and have been grateful for opportunities to work both in the art field for many years and in mental health. They’re pretty much the same thing. ; )
I have them – in my head. And they will be so much fun + enlivening + potentially fodder for some serious (but gentle) growth. Personally and creatively. Seriously. Bookmark me, connect with me on facebook or twitter or sign up for the updates so you will be among the first to know.
Thanks for being here. Now.
